Manufacturing Director oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for a plant or unit. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Director monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems, and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency. Collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, Manufacturing Director implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Facilities and Maintenance Manufacturing Manger is responsible for all aspects of daily plant operations while maximizing plant efficiency, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to SQF and other food production standards and policies (Employee handbook, GMP’s, Food Safety, HACCP, and any other designated company procedures). The Manager is responsible for coordinating with leadership to train all operations-oriented departments and personnel. The Manager must be able to understand and follow Process Specifications to ensure that product and packaging meets Mooney Farms’ quality standards as well as all customer specifications. Ideal candidate would embrace a fast-paced growing company.
