Manufacturing Director oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for a plant or unit. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Director monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems, and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency. Collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, Manufacturing Director implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. TheProduction Associatesoperate manufacturing equipment and / or performs manual laborer work that supplies raw materials, products or service associated with the manufacture and processing of tires and tire components. The ideal candidate will have on-the-job experience using one or more of the following pieces of equipment: forklift, order picker, handheld mobile computer. In this role, working with high-speed production machinery including basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems using simple hand tools will be required.
Shift Information:12-hour shift, New hires would likely be placed onto the night shift.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or the Workforce Center's Career Readiness Certification (CRC) with a minimum of Silver Certificate level
