Manufacturing Engineer Manager jobs in Orlando, FL
Manufacturing Engineer Manager oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively. Being a Manufacturing Engineer Manager is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Reviews, evaluates and implements engineering changes and specification requirements. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineer Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Engineer Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Manufacturing Engineer Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Duties
- Revision Change Control
- Review Manufacturing and Inspection process documentation to verify conformance with QMS and Customer requirements
- Assist other departments by clarifying design intent
- Document past non-conformances and save the evidence for future reference
- Design and draw fixtures, work-holding devices and gages
- Create working drawings to communicate guidelines for suppliers
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years minimum experience related to manufacturing in a precision CNC machine shop, preferred.
Proficiencies
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong CAD experience using SOLIDWORKS
- Strong CAM experience using FeatureCAM (or other Autodesk software), preferred.
- Experience using SOLIDWORKS Inspection or similar inspection software.
