    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Glen Allen, VA .

    This position is expected to begin May 2024.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

    • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

    • Responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning, design and modification phase of projects.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

    • Must have completed 2 years of study.

    • Due to the nature of work, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    Additional Information

    • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

    • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

    • Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Virginia locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
