Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Manufacturing team as a Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician. As a Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician you will provide daily support to equipment sustaining efforts in a high output. This role will troubleshoot issues, coordinate, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and fluidics systems. This position will also apply organic chemistry principles in troubleshooting manufacturing and equipment process issues.
How you will make an impact:
- Work on various types of equipment and systems performing daily, weekly, and annual preventive maintenance including HPLC’s, Process Reactors, Vacuum Pumps and In House Fridges/Freezers
- Process work orders in Maintenance Management System regarding preventive maintenance, calibration, onboarding, relocation and decommissioning
- Navigate processes and procedures in GxP compliant environments
- Collaborate with other groups cross-functionally to manage support and achieve production goals
- Operate and perform troubleshooting activities in compliance with the quality system
- Troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidic, and optical equipment systems
- Manage spare parts and lab supplies to support production areas
- Execute multiple assigned activities in parallel to supporting production and engineering improvements
- Make suggestions for continuous improvement and cost savings
- Monitor equipment technical performance and technical inventory
- Perform other functions and duties as required
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting – Pharma / GMP Experience is a plus.
- Experience using various mechanical hand tools is required
- Strong organizational skills needed
- Capable of solving complex problems as part of a team or as an individual
- Ability to use PC with Microsoft Office products is required. (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in priority
- Math and analytical skills
- Desire and willingness to learn current GxP to strive for compliance. Any GxP Knowledge is a plus
- Experience in high volume manufacturing environment preferred
- Chemical Analytical equipment repair and troubleshooting is a plus
- Work experience in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices industries is a plus
- Flexibility to work a shift as defined by manufacturing schedules
The anticipated salary range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00 per hour. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
