Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner, within all quality parameters. This position will also participate in both the hiring and performance management processes, have experience with Lean principles, KPIs, and Visual management, in a job shop manufacturing and assembly environment, and will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Production Manager will encourage, manage, and lead for maximum production flow, while ensuring safety and quality throughout.
