Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     The Powder Coat Line Manager is responsible for leading and supervising powder coating operations within the manufacturing facility. This includes managing the powder coating line, overseeing the work of team members, ensuring quality compliance, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

    Candidates should possess the following Job Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
    • Proven experience in powder coating operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials.
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems related to coating processes and project challenges.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

    Job Expectations

    Supervision and Leadership

    Candidates should possess a team-oriented management style that enables them to:

    • Lead and supervise a team of powder coating technicians and operators.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members meet performance standards as well as staff to support manpower requirements.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

    Process Management

    • Oversee the entire powder coating process, from preparation to finished product.
    • Ensure that powder coating equipment is properly set up and maintained.
    • Monitor and adjust process parameters to meet quality, production, and economic targets.
    • Manage inventory levels of powder coatings, consumables, and other related supplies. This includes coordination with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
    • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed. Collaborate with maintenance staff to schedule and perform regular equipment maintenance and keep critical replacement parts on shelf.
    • Collaborate with other departments, i.e., Fabrication, engineering with the goal being continuous product improvement.
    • Enforce compliance with all quality control parameters. Collaborate with the quality control team to resolve any quality issues.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of production volumes, quality metrics, and equipment maintenance.
    • Generate reports for management regarding production efficiency, quality performance, and other relevant metrics.

    Safety Compliance:

    • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
    • Enforce and promote a culture of safety within the powder coating line.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions.
    • Ensure that all team members follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment.
