Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Manufacturing Engineer performs a diverse variety of tasks, including designing fixturing for Robotic Weld Cells, programming Robotic Weld cells, writing process instructions or standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for work cells, training production on new processes that are implemented, and solving production issues at workstations. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer performs a variety of office tasks, errands, and special projects.
