Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Manufacturing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Controls Engineer -- Richland Washington
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our Richland Washington team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and improving our manufacturing process. You need to have good knowledge of manufacturing process and be able to help our facility achieve maximum efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze current manufacturing processes
- Improve manufacturing efficiency
- Lead initiatives to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Support maintenance team to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment
- Provide technical support for all shifts
- Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control
- Support small and large improvement projects
- Collaborating with other engineers
- Provide PLC and HMI programming and support: Allen Bradley/Rockwell Software/Ignition
- Provide recommendations to the general manager for capital projects and major maintenance
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Possess strong problem-solving and analytic skills
- Willingness to perform other duties as directed by the general manager
