Job Summary:
The Director of the Genomics Research Core will oversee the day-to-day management of the Genomics Core facility and report to the Director of Research Cores in Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS). The Director will organize and conduct user training and assist investigators with sample preparation, equipment use and with the development of research protocols, as well as data analysis and funding proposals. The Director will also be expected to participate actively in genetics research activities and to submit and/or participate in grant applications for relevant research and equipment funding opportunities. The Director is expected to remain current with the latest advances in genetics and instrumentation through interactions with vendors and conference attendance.

Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.

Expected hiring range: $95,000 - $105,000
