Job Summary:
The Warehouse Incharge will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and timely delivery management. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, supervising staff, and ensuring that all activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure timely stock movement and order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock checks and audits.
- Ensure proper storage of materials, optimizing space utilization while adhering to safety and quality guidelines.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantities and condition of goods.
Delivery Management:
- Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure timely dispatch of goods to clients/customers.
- Monitor delivery schedules and resolve logistical issues promptly.
- Ensure all delivery documents (invoices, packing lists, etc.) are accurate and accompany the shipments.
Team Supervision:
- Supervise warehouse staff and delivery personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Assign tasks to warehouse and delivery teams and monitor productivity.
- Address conflicts or challenges within the team to ensure a harmonious work environment.
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in warehouse and delivery processes and propose improvements.
- Implement warehouse management software or tools to streamline operations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and training for warehouse and delivery staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse and delivery operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of logistics and delivery processes.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics.
- Prior experience in industries like manufacturing, retail, or e-commerce.
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments and adapt to changes quickly.
