Director of Marketing

The Marketing Director is responsible for the development and implementation of business and marketing plans to achieve business growth objectives.

Marketing Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains effective markets for facility services by developing and sustaining referral relationships
• Develops strategies to maximize admissions of residents in accordance with facility sales plan
• Reviews census management practice guidelines, analyzes trends, and takes action to avert deterioration of market share
• Develops marketing tools for facility within budgetary constraints.
• Ensures that public information describing the services provided in the facility are accurate and fully descriptive
• Plans and oversees the execution of community based promotional events, open houses and educational seminars
• Maintains an affective public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike
• Ensures that accurate financial records and cost reports are submitted in a timely fashion.
• Markets the facility’s services to the managed care industry
• Serves as a liaison between the public and the Administrator, medical staff, and other professional or advisory staff
• Other duties as assigned

Marketing Director Education and Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance payer systems
• Established community ties within the healthcare market
• Degree in a related field is desirable
• Experience as a LTC marketer preferred

Marketing Director Physical Demands:

•          Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
•          May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
•          The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
