Marketing Communication Specialist

Balise is looking for a savvy wordsmith to join our Marketing Team!

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for telling our story and reinforcing our brands through impactful internal and external communications. This position creates and coordinates marketing communications for all aspects of the organization, including production of company communications, marketing collateral, social media, community engagement, public relations efforts, and managing internal and external company events. 

Candidates must have exceptional writing skills and a knack for developing engaging short-form and long-form content and distributing it across applicable channels. This position is hybrid, and candidates will be expected to work both in dealerships and remotely or in office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Encourage customer and associate loyalty by developing, editing, and distributing relevant content for websites, blogs, eblasts, social media, traditional media, press releases, and other relevant communication channels.
• Assist in developing an overall communications plan, including both internal and external relations.
• Enhance brand awareness through consistent customer, community, and associate engagement and interaction.
• Develop monthly dealership newsletters, working closely with dealership personnel on individual store content, community involvement, and advertising promotions.
• Regularly track and analyze campaign results to optimize performance over time.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including dealership personnel and agency partners, to ensure consistent message delivery across communication channels and in stores.
• Ensure content is updated at regular intervals and maintained accurately with consistent brand messaging and store/departmental goals in mind.
• Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors and/or industry.
• Review and respond to all incoming community funding requests after presenting recommendations to Community Action Team. Serve as primary contact for executing approved requests.
• Stay up to date with each brand’s advertising guidelines and ensure that all content created is compliant with each brand’s requirements.
• Conduct research for key marketing campaigns and assist with other marketing tasks and projects as needed.
• Travel to dealerships, conferences, promotional events, and meetings as needed.
• Some weekend and evening hours required to cover events.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a positive professional demeanor at all times.
• Action-oriented, self-motivated, and creative thinker with a strong attention to detail.
• BA in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field, OR at least 3 years of relevant field experience.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time (day travel to various dealer locations in RI, MA, and CT).
• Spanish language fluency a plus, but not required.
• Proficient in all Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
