Marketing Director directs marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies for all products and services for the organization. Translates the overall marketing vision into integrated business plans, tactics, projects, and deliverables. Being a Marketing Director oversees critical marketing functions, including market research, communications, and product planning. Utilizes technology and data to Identify changes in the competitive environment and enable responsive marketing activities. Additionally, Marketing Director develops budgets, resources, and teams to execute short-term and long-term marketing plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary:
Work with Vice President Government and Industry Affairs (GIA) in federal government affairs activities for the Livestock Marketing Association (LMA). Help develop and execute the strategy for state legislative and regulatory issues, interfacing with Region Executive Officers. Strong preference for Kansas City area with remote or hybrid options available depending on circumstances
Duties:
Contribute to Federal Government and Industry Affairs efforts
Contribute to State Government and Industry Affairs efforts
Represent LMA at meetings, including United States Animal Health Association, National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, and state LMA affiliate meetings.
Contribute to the planning and execution of LMA D.C. Fly In events and other GIA meetings.
Develop and execute grassroots advocacy plan engaging LMA members with officials.
Expand efforts to connect LMA members with their elected leaders through market visits and action alerts.
Manage fundraising and reporting for LMA Political Action Committee.
Expand LMA member education efforts.
