    Essential Functions:

    • Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets.
    • Actively seek new business using marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, email, site visits, FAMs, and other effective methods.
    • Works closely with Sales and Revenue Management daily to clearly understand the hotel’s objectives for attracting business.
    • In coordination with the HCH marketing team and the DOSM, helps develop brochures, advertising copy, and other written/digital materials/signage about available food/beverage services and hotel facilities for public accommodation.
    • Develops and executes effective email marketing campaigns to drive sales and revenue.
    • Develops marketing strategies and implements promotional campaigns to maximize sales potential and increase overall business.
    • Works with local and regional tourism offices, marketing and public relations agencies, etc. to grow the overall awareness of LSL.
    • Generates new business while also increasing customer loyalty by cultivating long-term relationships with hotel guests and clients.
    • Analyzes sales reports documenting marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outlines & executes marketing plans based on this data.
    • Directs and implements the organizations advertising and promotional activities.
    • Analyzes market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
    • Identifies new market segments that will benefit from LSL’s products and services.
    • Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
    • Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the property.
    • Consults with the DOSM and stakeholders to evaluate the hotel's performance.
    • Along with the DOSM, produces the annual sales & marketing plan for LSL and develops aggressive long and short-range sales objectives and promotional programs based on past sales projections and accomplishments.
    • Attends daily Stand-Up meetings with the team to ensure proper communication, alignment, and teamwork.
    • Demonstrates flexibility to step into whatever role is needed at the time, in order to deliver exceptional customer service. This may include taking on job responsibilities outside of this job description temporarily, and may require assisting other departments in their regular functions.
    • Understands, adheres to, and enforces all HCH SOPs, Hotel Policies, and Sales and Catering procedures.
    • Takes initiative as shown by doing assigned tasks without prompting and developing new sales ideas and programs.
    • Cooperates with others in completing assigned tasks in a team capacity.
    • Adapts to working in a fast-paced and crowded environment during event execution.
    • Uses sound judgement in meeting sales objectives and in resolving challenging situations.
    • Addresses each and every guest using the S.E.A.C. method, with a smile, eye contact, acknowledges their presence in a timely manner with appropriate greeting, and kindly close.
    • Attends all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
    • Understands and practices all HCH safety and security procedures, including Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Accident Reporting, Right to Know Law, Written Information Security Program, Bloodborne Pathogen Procedures, Anti-Harassment Policy, and Violence in the Workplace Policy.
    • Complies with all Hotel and HCH time and attendance policies.
    • Complies with all Hotel and HCH uniform, dress code, and appearance standards.

    ¨ Ability to lift, roll, and stretch in order to move tables and chairs on a regular basis.

    ¨ Ability to move up and down stairs frequently throughout shift.

    ¨ Ability to bend frequently and repetitively during a shift.

    Working Environment:

    ¨ Hotel property with approximately 120 guest rooms.

    ¨ Work will take place primarily at the Lodge at Schroon Lake, but will include some off-site work.

    ¨ Interior of hotel, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures.
