Territory Sales Manager
Job Overview
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in advancing our premium pneumatic abrasive power tools and abrasive products. Your role involves collaborating with a well-established distribution network to provide tailored, industry-specific solutions aimed at enhancing productivity and quality for our clients. Your initiatives will drive significant sales growth, bolster profitability, and reinforce customer loyalty. This position is remote and covers the Ohio Valley Territory, including the metropolitan areas of Cincinnati and Dayton in Southwest Ohio, along with the state of Kentucky.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and convert new business opportunities and prospects into fruitful relationships.
- Partner with Distributor Sales Representatives and Strategic Partners for joint sales efforts to promote our power tool offerings.
- Conduct impactful product training sessions for distributors and engage in open houses with end-users.
- Build and maintain strong, enduring relationships with distributor partners while addressing any issues proactively.
- Aid in the establishment of territory goals and objectives during the planning process.
- Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan that targets specific industries within your designated territory.
- Allocate time effectively: 80% on customer visits, 15% on distributor interactions, and 5% on tool clinics and trade shows.
- Take charge of executing the sales strategy and achieving targets within the territory.
- Organize, prioritize, and schedule tasks efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Maintain in-depth working knowledge of our products and their applications with a keen focus on territory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitive dynamics to enhance your effectiveness.
- Familiarize yourself with ISO certifications and the quality improvements necessary to meet customer and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager, Product Managers, Trainers, and the Marketing team to support and advocate for our products.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Sales.
- Demonstrated history of sales achievements.
- Strong verbal and written communication competencies.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and diverse objectives.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safety practices in accordance with OSHA/ANSI Standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a relevant field or equivalent technical experience involving mechanical and electronic components.
- Experience with power tools and completing related projects is highly favored.
- Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 50% of the time) with a home-based office.
