FIELD MARKETING SPECIALIST - PART-TIME - BEND, OREGON

Job Description

At Shift Naturals Inc., our Field Marketing Specialists play a crucial role in driving product awareness and sales through strategic engagement and product sampling pop-ups alongside our retail partners and at various events. Your mission is to embody and promote the DownShift spirit at retailer locations, local athletic events, launch parties, charity gatherings, music festivals, farmer's markets, and sporting events, building lasting relationships and partnerships. Responsibilities

As a Field Marketing Specialist with Shift Naturals Inc., you play a crucial role in our engagement with the market and interactions with customers. Your key responsibilities include captivating potential customers at events and applying fundamental merchandising strategies to boost the visibility and adoption of Shift Naturals (right now… DownShift) products. Collaborating with event organizers, retail partners, and the broader community, you are expected to provide exceptional service and valuable insights that contribute to our growth and strengthen brand loyalty.

Key Areas of Focus:

• Account Management & Education: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients to understand and meet their needs. Train retail staff on DownShift products to enhance their knowledge and ensure compliance, while also scouting for new business opportunities.
• Merchandising: Use creative merchandising techniques to improve Shift Naturals brand visibility and sales, focusing on strategic placement and engaging pop-ups.
• Event Planning & Execution: Organize and engage in events ranging from in-store tastings to external events like marathons and music festivals, working closely with teams and partners for flawless execution and promotional support.
• Market Intelligence: Provide valuable market insights and strategic recommendations to support mutual growth, staying informed on industry trends and consumer preferences.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate strong connections with retail clients, their customers, and internal teams, prioritizing effective communication and teamwork.

• Strategy: Guarantee flawless in-store execution, ensuring Shift Naturals products are always in the right place at the right time.
• Location: Secure and maintain optimal product placements, both permanent and temporary, to enhance visibility.
• Availability: Ensure product placements are well-communicated and visible to maximize sales opportunities.

Communication

• Develop and nurture positive, professional relationships with store personnel, event staff, vendors, and customers.
• Remove or replace damaged or expired products, and restock items as needed, coordinating with the management team.

Requirements

Interpersonal Skills:

• Must enjoy working with people and building relationships.
• Highly organized and efficient.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be self-motivated, goal oriented and drive results.

Education and Experience:

• Have 1 year previous field / event marketing experience or similar.
•  Have 1 year merchandising experience or internship experience.
• High School Graduate; Significant college degree progress in a marketing field or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Knowledge and interest in natural wellness products.
• Commitment to learning about customer preferences and working collaboratively to meet those needs.

 Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to drive for extended periods.
• Lift up to 30lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Qualifications

• Must have proficient in Excel and Asana or similar products.
• Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Adapt at navigating complex challenges and driving positive change.
