Massage Therapist performs massage therapy in a healthcare setting to control pain and promote wellness. Consults with a client, records their basic medical history, assesses their conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on their current health. Being a Massage Therapist utilizes soft or deep tissue massage or other therapeutic massage methods to provide pain relief and promote healing. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Massage Therapist typically reports to a manager. Requires certification as a Massage Therapist. Massage Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Coordinate with the Office Manager/Doctor to ensure that all data entry tasks are completed in a timely manner to allow for efficient billing procedures. Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all patients. Assist in the overall daily operation of the front office as conditions and needs require. File records/documents and perform courier activities as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Clinic on a daily basis. Maintain cleanliness of office.
Qualifications
- Medical administrative support experience
- Patient service skills
- Office experience, particularly at the front desk
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Understanding of medical terminology (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems
