We currently seeking a Master Data Governance Steward for Material Master (Product Master). This role is based out of our Oakville office in Ontario and works with the Senior Manager - Master Data Governance. Job Summary Are you looking for a role where you can shine and show you are an expert in Master Data execution and analysis process? Then join us in this instrumental role! You will be contributing to the SAP ecosystem roadmap by planning, executing, and providing guidance on data-related activities. IPEX is currently undertaking a large multi-year business transformation program triggered by a greenfield SAP S4/Hana implementation. You will work in a variety of data activities, such as profiling, quality assessment and cleansing of master and transactional data objects. This includes establishing data cleansing strategies and their implementation, as well as any data cleansing initiative required throughout business units. This also includes Master Data mapping, transformation, and enrichment, to account for the new SAP product, customer, vendor, finance data models and business transformation requirements. Moreover, they will ensure data objects maintain compliance with IPEX quality standards throughout their lifecycle. Does this sound like you? You would also contribute to data validation runs, resolve data-related issues, data reconciliation and identification of corrective actions prior to production migrations. Ensure that the SAP Master Data accuracy and change processes are implemented and adhered to in all North American locations. The position helps develop skills and experience in setting up and managing best-in-class data pipelines that are becoming crucial building blocks in an industry embracing data-centric digital transformation approaches. Principal Responsibilities Understand end-to-end data flows and identify data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in master data management, metadata management, and data governance process & operations. Plan, develop, and facilitate data governance workshops for Material Master Data & other Data Objects as required to support MTD, FTP, PTP, OTC , RTR & LOG processes in SAP S4 HANA. Define terms and improve the business glossary for data management. Assist in developing enterprise data glossary definitions for Master Data Governance Process. Ensure data quality and data accuracy processes across the enterprise. Establish regional data definitions, standards, and data governance policies. Enforce global data standards and policies set by data /functional owners and data governance team. Support Data Standards and Governance Process with MTD, FTP, PTP, OTC , RTR & LOG Master Data & Transactional Data Objects in SAP S4 HANA. Define data standards for certain domain-specific master data fields. Implement Regional data standards and policies set by data governance team. Review and approve data governance processes. Establish and review KPIs for data governance and data quality. Responsible for facilitating Master Data creation and maintenance, including data entry, uploads, and changes in SAP. Responsible for facilitating setting up Master Data for Product Management Material as per CRUD Workflow. Responsible for assisting in training users & crafting Training Manual for Master Data setup for Product Management Material. Assist with Data Quality Rules & Business Rules for reporting. Work with data owners and data governance team on continuous improvement of master data. Perform weekly/monthly/quarterly audits & data profiling of Master Data and report to Senior Management and Business Stakeholders. Address Master Data issues in SAP logged by the Business Stakeholder for correction and update as required. Lead Material Master Data Workshops with IPEX Functional Leads, Stream Leads & System Implementation Partners including IPEX Business Lead Material Master Data Work Flow Process with the IPEX Business & IPEX IT. Lead & Support Data Cleansers on Material Master Data Cleansing, Construction, Validation, Reporting & Analytics. Lead Business Process Documents SIGNAVIO updates for Material Master Data including assisting in developing process control maps for the Master Data Governance Process. Lead in updating & developing SAP Job Aides for Material Master Data & other Data Objects as required for the IPEX Business Team. Support Senior Master Data Governance Manager with the Material Master Data Governance Program & Data Cataloging including future scoping of MDM & MDG Global Platform solution. Lead Mass Creation & Change capabilities for Material Master in SAP S4 HANA. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, related field preferred or equivalent Technical Skills & Experience 4-7years of relevant experience Demonstrated ability in master data management or IT related role. Experience in the manufacturing or production industry is preferred. Experience with advanced MS office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a strong asset. Preferred knowledge of SAP Master Data, including Financials, Material Master, BOMs, and Routings, Customer and Vendor Masters. Experience in engineering design applications, New Product Development, and Manufacturing and Engineering Change Control Processes. Preferred Knowledge and experience with S4 HANA or SAP ECC, familiar with SAP (RTR, OTC, PTP, MTD, EWM, TM, FTP) Processes including SAP SIGNAVIO . Strong Data, Analytics & Reporting Skills. Experience in coordinating the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT. Proficient in supporting the technology, tools, resources, and processes required to create / maintain consistent and accurate master data throughout the organization. Experience with Mass Creation & Change Capabilities via Tools like Win-Shuttle or /& Data Migration Cockpit including MDM/MDG solutions.
