Description
SAIC is seeking an Inventory Lead/Material Coordinator to provide support at the SAIC Middletown, RI Office for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center for multiple programs.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide support in preparing and arranging materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage.
- Coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
- Review production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material
- Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.
- Examine material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Must be able to work independently, but also in a team environment and share information with others.
- Must show initiative and have the ability to work on multiple tasks with changing deadlines and priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and flexibility are required; the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, vendors, technical staff, managers, and peers, and various Government and contractor personnel.
- Computer Skills are to include proficiency in MS Office Suite with advance skills in Excel.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- MS Office proficiency including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Detail oriented and exceptionally organized
- Quick learner and proactive
- Ability to manage logistical issues
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- DoD Experience
- Ability to work with databases
REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Candidate MUST be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance to start on contract and a Secret clearance to remain on contract. Citizenship required to obtain clearance. SAIC will help candidate obtain.
