Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Picking, Kitting, & Verification of manufacturing orders
- Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications, when necessary, in electrostatic bags or as otherwise specified. Labels and stocks in specified bins or fills back-order requirements, both for the assembly floor or kits in process.
- Delivers completed assembly kits or point of use (POU) material to designated areas and if required, releases to work-in-process (WIP).
- Receiving shipments, accurately verifying transactions and stocking inventory in correct locations
- Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
- Accurate accounting of inventory and resolution of discrepancies
- Performs cycle count audits and physical inventories
- Working knowledge and skills with ERP systems (Made2Manage) and (Gmail, Docs, Spreadsheets)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 12 months of related experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with inventory knowledge.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position
- Lean knowledge a big plus
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (Kardex, weight scale)
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to occasionally work overtime.
