Materials Engineer plans for the most cost-effective utilization of materials. Applies knowledge of material science to recommend engineering and manufacturing changes to attain design objectives in the most economical manner possible. Being a Materials Engineer reviews blueprints and specifications to determine the appropriate materials needed to achieve successful completion of initiatives. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Materials Engineer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 4. Operators shall have the ability to conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Applicant must successfully pass a preemployment
drug test. 1 year of experience or practical knowledge in the field preferred, but willing to train the right employee.
Ability to operate different types of equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Job requires steady to intermittent and repetitive physical
activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and raking.
