Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Research Assistant in Materials Analysis within our R&D team at Newark, Delaware. The successful candidate will assist the R&D team to develop, characterize nanomaterials, nanocomposites and carbon related materials, also to operate the current facilities in the company. The candidate must have a strong technical background and communication, interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to analyze data and results within an interdisciplinary project team.
Responsibilities

Required Skills
B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering or Physics with experience in nanomaterials, nanocomposites, graphene, carbon nanotube, battery or any other new energy-nanomaterials; Materials characterization experience with microscopies (SEM, TEM and AFM) and mechanical or electrical properties (Multifunctional Instron tensile test machine, DMA, DSC); The candidate needs to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and have the ability to deliver results in multiple areas; Strong written and verbal communication skills
