Materials Manager manages the raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. Ensures raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules. Being a Materials Manager utilizes MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Develops forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, Materials Manager coordinates with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary. Maintains supplier relationships and may negotiate lead times. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the Role : Responsibilities :

    Responsibilities :

    • Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problem.
    • Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves.
    • Fabricate parts or components as needed.
    • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
    • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
    • Position does require working on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and the use of safety harnesses.

    About You

    We Require :

    • Business / technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience. One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
    • Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.
    • Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
    • Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
    • General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
    • Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem solving techniques. Detail orientation.
    • Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
    • Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
    • Must have a valid drivers’ license.
