Who You Are: The successful candidate for this role will serve as a primary owner for overseeing and managing activities related to direct to buy material management (Raw materials and packaging) throughout Nutrabolt’s external manufacturing and global distributor network. The Materials Manager will provide real time, progressive visibility, and guidance in an effort to support tech transfer activities, E&O elimination, SMI solutions, short material impact mitigation, and execution around raw material and packaging procurement decisions within Nutrabolt’s overall supplier base. 

This role is eligible to participate in our Management Bonus Plan.             

What You're Good At: 

• Work collaboratively and cross functionally to develop and manage product BOM’s for all active product categories, tying back to finished product specs and cost templates. 
• Interact globally on both strategic and tactical procurement activities, inclusive of raw material contractual addendums. 
• Communicate material forecasts to embolden co-manufacturer existing guidance to Nutrabolt’s strategic direct to buy network of suppliers. 
• Partner with Quality team on the approval of ingredient manufacturers. 
• Manage internal ingredient vendor set-up process.  
• Track and verify fulfillment from a materials perspective throughout distribution network and co-manufacturing sites. 
• Propose and execute solutions to eliminate shortages impacting co-manufacturer production and pickup request schedules. 
• Play an active role in TCO/TCS analysis to ensure project costs and P&L requirements are meeting or beating objectives. 
• Facilitate and support the visibility throughout the supply chain of on hand/inbound materials as it relates to the SKU rationalization process, shorting or cutting of SKU’s, new position requirements, or Excess and Obsolete material positions. 
• Work in concert with Purchasing department on material issues and escalations to achieve an exceptional level of material availability and service goals.
   

What You Contribute: 

• 4 years of supply chain/materials management experience in a fast-paced CPG environment. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred. 
• Experience in activities around RFQ creation, source selection and approvals, cost analysis, and price negotiation. 
• Proven knowledge of turnkey materials management along with global logistics and international trade compliance familiarity. 
• Flexibility to independently travel up to 25%-50% of the time to supplier locations/plants, industry conferences, and Austin office. 
• Existing knowledge of global raw materials and packaging markets within nutraceuticals marketplace a huge plus. 
• Ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgement, and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers.
