As a Production Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and coordinating and/or monitoring the flow of products through the complete production cycle. About the Role:
- Collaborate with production teams, sales, and other relevant departments to align schedules with overall company objectives.
- Assess production capacity and adjust schedules as needed to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
- Prioritize customer orders based on deadlines, production constraints, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory management to ensure timely availability of raw materials for production.
- Communicate production schedules and changes effectively to all relevant departments, ensuring everyone is aligned.
- Analyze historical production data, sales forecasts, and market trends to optimize scheduling decisions.
- Address scheduling conflicts, disruptions, and delays promptly, implementing solutions to minimize impact.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in scheduling and production planning.
- Generate and present regular reports on production schedules, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with production managers to allocate resources effectively, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Ensure scheduling practices comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and other relevant industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and supply of materials.
- Ability to interact well with internal and external customers demonstrates emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient use of computer systems and software applications, Microsoft office suite.
- In‐depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred. (JDE Edwards, Power BI
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience of 5 years in production planning in a related industry.
- Construction background with underground utility experience preferred.
