Job Duties:

• Provide superior service to all customers, via telephone and in person, greeting them promptly and respectfully.
• Be knowledgeable about and able to sell products that include, but are not limited to: Soil and Sand, Crushed Limestone, Decorative Rock, Flagstone, Wall Stone, Boulders, Mulches and Soil Amendments, manufactured stone and pond supplies.
• Responsible for performing mathematical calculations to assist customers with quantities needed.
• Accurately complete customer weight tickets and operate the scale.
• Complete various transactions accurately in Great Plains, including Sales Receipts, Invoices, Sales Orders and Returns. Match hand-written tickets to appropriate computer-generated form.
• Responsible for determining delivery prices for each delivery order taken as well as quotes for potential customers. This will require the use of simple mathematical calculations and map skills.
• Schedule customer delivery requests according to company policy.
• Communicate load information to Yard Hands for Deliveries
• Receive customer payments and record in GP according to type of payment.
• Contact Customers when necessary to schedule deliveries.
• Assist with keeping displays, pricelists and literature up to date, presentable and stocked under the counter.
• Assist with keeping signage current (holiday hours, special prices, policies, etc.)
• Stock and organize the counters and supply cabinets. Notify Manager when supplies are low.
• Complete ALL Checklists DAILY.
• Assist the Assistant Manager and Yard Lead in receiving and inventory verification processes.
• Complete employee-training monthly, including up-to-date product knowledge training.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Assume responsibility for being aware of changes in company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation.
• Perform other duties as may be required, by assisting the Manager, Assistant Manager and other staff members.
• Must have Smart Phone and be able to download Company Applications
• Must be reliable and fit in with a small team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
