VPI Technology is seeking a talented and dedicated Electrical Engineer with comprehensive experience in designing and debugging custom digital, analog, and battery-operated devices. This position will work full-time in our D-tect division in Draper, UT.

D-tect designs and manufactures radiation detection equipment for military and commercial customers. We are looking for engineers with a broad range of skills from architecture and design to manufacturing and sustainment. We are looking for engineers who are interested in owning products throughout the product lifecycle and are prepared to take on challenging and complicated design as well as troubleshooting and manufacturing/support tasks. We need curious engineers willing to take on anything, even if it is something they’ve never done before. We’d love you to join our team!

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• Must be a US Citizen eligible for and willing to obtain US Security Clearance
• ABET Accredited BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
• 5 Years Engineering Experience
• Digital and Microprocessor System Design
• Analog System Design/Simulation

• High degree of professionalism and maturity with ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
• Strong quality orientation, including attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
• Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear direction to others and listen actively
• Ability to work effectively with all individuals within D-tect and client organizations
• Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere
• Exercise good judgment, keeping in mind company policies and procedures
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• IoT RF design (Bluetooth, WiFi, antenna selection, module or chip-down)
• Low Power System Design
• High Voltage Electronics
• Proficient with Altium Designer
• Developing military-grade products including preparing products for manufacturing
• Developing low-cost, highly-robust systems
• Meeting certification requirements
• Experience with military standards testing (MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461)
• Current U.S. security clearance is preferred
• Configuration management
