Summary:

• Work with mid-size construction equipment such as generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards as well as others to inspect, repair and maintain the equipment.
• Ensure the machines continue to run safely at optimum efficiency.

** There is no travel with this role - it is located at our Middletown shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance on midsize equipment, including aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards.

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, small engine repair, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license required
• Welding, hydraulic, and electrical experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Possess mechanical skills and be familiar with parts and components of complex machinery and engines, as well as the tools to fix them.
• Possess technical skills and be familiar with electronics
• Ability to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, fuel and brake lines
• Possess troubleshooting skills - ability to look at mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions.
• Detail oriented.
