Mechanical Engineering Designer
ClubWorks Engineering, in collaboration with Peacock Lewis Architects and Planners (P L), is actively searching for a dynamic and skilled Mechanical Engineering Designer to join our team. In this pivotal role, the selected candidate will work in close collaboration with P L architects, interior designers, and various professionals to deliver comprehensive MEP engineering and design services. These services span a diverse array of projects, encompassing clubhouses, club amenity buildings, custom residential structures, multi-family residential buildings, hospitality establishments, and other project types as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- In-depth knowledge of the Florida Building Code, Mechanical Codes, ASHRAE Standards, and NFPA Standards.
- Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD MEP and Revit for effective project design and implementation.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting accurate cooling load calculations to ensure optimal HVAC system performance and energy efficiency.
- Proficient at developing precise energy code calculations, staying abreast of industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance and promote sustainable design practices.
- Adept in developing detailed zone maps and creating precise equipment and duct layouts to optimize spatial efficiency and functionality.
- Proficient in developing equipment and system specifications for diverse projects.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate with owners, clients, architects, interior designers, and other consultants to create fully coordinated contract documents.
- Strong communication skills, translating technical information into clear and accessible formats.
- Proven track record of conducting thorough site visits and field surveys to document existing conditions.
- Capable of contributing to engineering reports and field documentation for existing buildings.
- Competent in reviewing equipment and system submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Responsive to Requests for Information (RFIs), addressing queries promptly and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the development of cutting-edge MEP engineering designs and consulting.
- Hands-on expertise in mechanical equipment maintenance and installations, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
- Adept at managing MEP engineering projects, ensuring seamless execution within schedule and budget constraints.
- Skilled in developing comprehensive sanitary plans, storm water plans, and domestic water plans with a keen focus on regulatory compliance and sustainability.
