Mechanical Designer designs and creates layouts and documentation for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical building systems that meet project and technical specifications. Uses computer-aided design (CAD) and other specialized software tools to generate detailed layout plans, schematics, and drawings for mechanical systems. Being a Mechanical Designer maintains accurate and complete change and version control on all design files, documents, and drawings. Incorporates best practices to address design space constraints and ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and building codes. Additionally, Mechanical Designer collaborates with engineers and other project members. May conduct or participate in site visits to inspect installations or troubleshoot problems. May require an associate degree in mechanical design, drafting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Mechanical Designer works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Job Description: 

    We are hiring a Commercial/Industrial Journeyman Electrician to work with our Service division. The type of work is highly varied so if you like working with different systems or problem solving a variety of electrical issues our customers have, this job would be a good fit for you. Most of our projects are smaller in scope.  Our electrical side is the newest trade we have added to our overall services and this department is in a growth mode with lots of opportunity in the future.  We do all commercial or industrial work (no residential)  including both private and prevailing wage projects. As the company grows the scope of the work can be tailored to our employees future career interests.

    Scope of work includes:

    • Install and repair electrical systems as it applies to HVAC and Plumbing (however very little thermostat wiring)
    • Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, VFD, starters, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
    • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
    • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduits
    • Receive and complete work orders for our Service customers
    • Select material and hardware and make time and material estimates
    • Position has a wide variety duties and challenges

     

    Required Skills:

    • Washington Journeyman Electrical License
