Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. Being a Mechanical Engineer may be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. Requires a bachelor's degree of mechanical engineering. Additionally, Mechanical Engineer typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.
