Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, prototypes, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Develops specifications for new parts or prototypes. Being a Mechanical Engineer identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products. Uses CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products. Additionally, Mechanical Engineer conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Talentry is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and fabricate mechanical and electromechanical test stands, tools, and fixtures to test parts for a complex electromechanical diagnostic device. This engineer will construct parts with 3D Printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, or external vendor fabrication as appropriate.
This engineer must have experience with standard lab tools, such as O-Scopes, multimeter, soldering equipment, function generators, etc.
He or she will ensure the compatibility of subsystems, and fabricate drawings, wiring schematics, instrumentation lists, and other plans and documents.
This engineer will characterize the appropriate instrumentation and microfluidics for these POC diagnostic devices.
Requirements
BSME, Biomedical Engineering, BSEE, or similar engineering degree
2-5 years of experience.
2 years of experience testing components.
Soldering, testing tools, and CAD software experience required.
FDA guideline experience required (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, etc.)
Excellent communication and documentation experience.
