About us

DECA Consulting, Inc. is a consumer products engineering, safety, and compliance consulting firm, located in Wadsworth OH. We work with our clients to develop and/or improve the design and safety of children’s products. Our small office is seeking a technically driven individual interested in direct involvement with our team of Engineers and clients. Responsibilities for this position include interpreting product test reports and entering data into compliance databases; reviewing products with team for safety and mechanical problems, performing mechanical testing and report writing for clients; collaborating with outside testing facilities, government agencies and clients; working with Solidworks; actively staying up to date on training and industry specific topics; mechanical engineering design.

Education

• AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
• SolidWorks training

Experience

• Minimum 5 year’s experience as engineering technician
• Technical Report Writing
• Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
• Mechanical Testing
• Mechanical Design
• Fabrication for Prototyping
• SolidWorks Experience
• Project management

Job Type: Hourly, Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (Portion of pay based on billable hours)
