Mechanical Engineering Technician jobs in Riverside, CA
Mechanical Engineering Technician assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Estimates work load to establish completion dates. Being a Mechanical Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience as a commercial HVAC Service Technician
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
Responsibilities:
- Install heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial customers
- Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests
