Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Function:
Support/drive sourcing process for indirect sourcing categories. Inclusive of (but not limited to) MRO, janitorial and office supplies, property services, corporate services, and more. May include issuing RFQ’s and leading negotiations for Truck-Lite business.
Support cost savings projects for Truck-Lite locations; working with global procurement organization.
Support Truck-Lite team in addressing/solving supplier quality & delivery issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide input into global category strategies that support the needs of Truck-Lite and additional businesses within Clarience Technologies.
Ensure effective communication of progress, initiatives, and potential issues to the broader business organization.
Assist management of procurement financial reporting and reconciliation, including savings and cost avoidance activities.
Assist management of price changes in ERP/MRP system.
Support data gathering/population for global Supplier Scorecards and sourcing process.
Support activities inclusive of (but not limited to); processing requisitions as needed, training new personnel in JDE with regard to issuing requisitions or tracking of open POs, maintain and update Supplier Database and files for supplier contracts and leases, monitor and update Purchasing Procedures/Work Instructions/Forms to ensure all are current and accurate, and assist the other Purchasing department personnel as necessary or requested.
Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation
REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree in Business Management, Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering, or relevant education and experience.
2-3 years’ experience in a Procurement/Supply Chain role.
Experience operating in a manufacturing environment
Effective communication skills.
Strong organizational and data analysis skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with J.D. Edwards or another enterprise resource planning platform
