Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Buyer is primarily responsible for determining what MRO items and services need to be purchased, sourcing, vendor selection and qualification, issuing and evaluating requests for quotation, and purchase order generation, purchase order follow-up to insure timely delivery to meet the internal requisition and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Buyer may be asked to assist in the follow-up and procurement of chemicals and/or packaging at the request of the Purchasing Manager. The Buyer operates under the direction of the Purchasing Manager.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role.
EDUCATION
College degree in business, purchasing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a GMP environment preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving abilities
3 years’ experience in the purchasing & manufacturing industry preferred
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Good human relations and oral/written communication skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrated ability to learn, follow and help refine procedures with minimal oversight
Strong analytical / problem solving skills
Self-starter with willingness to expand expertise and skill base
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
