Media Planner is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Planner uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Planner collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Merit Street Media is searching for a Social Media Coordinator to join our growing Digital Platforms team. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the daily operations of multiple social platforms. This responsibility includes media handling, copywriting, proofreading, uploading assets (reels, stories, etc.), developing platform specific strategies, building community engagement and more. This position will report directly to the Social Media Team Lead.
The ideal candidate has a digital-first approach to the production and distribution of video content, is incredibly detail-oriented, and can with ease navigate the backend of Instagram, Twitter (X), TikTok, etc. An affinity or familiarity with Dr. Phil, Current Events/News and Political Commentary content is a plus.
