Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Overview: Bicoastal Media is accepting applications for an experienced Marketing Consultant Sales Representative to work in our Eureka, California Cluster. Our stations/product line include the following; Sports, Oldies, Hot AC, Hot Country, Classic Hits, Web site design, social media placement, Digital Placement, and General marketing consultation.
A successful candidate will be primarily responsible for developing and managing advertising for clients. Assists with sales of radio/internet advertising. Building a client account base, by making out going sales calls and cold calls, radio procedures, paperwork and build a solid account base. Building and maintaining a sales account reaching sales goals set forth by the company.
Duties:
· Responsible for copy writing, creative marketing planning, maintaining interoffice, business relations and revenue collections.
· Outside sales on a day-to-day operational duty
· Assisting sales manager/team in writing proposals and promotional campaigns
· Calling and selling radio campaign over the phone and in person
· Sell advertising time/internet space and work with advertisers to help market themselves to the station listeners.
· Coordinates all aspects of client radio advertising campaign including copy, production, billing, collections, remote broadcasting and event marketing.
· Regularly meets with prospective and current clients to create and maintain sales relationships.
· Attends weekly group meetings to review accounts and one on one meeting for more detailed review of accounts and goals.
· Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals
· Maintain account lists while soliciting new business
· Communicate with other departments and employees to assure quality service in placing orders.
· Develop new business in selected markets and/or geographic locations.
· Collections, assisting your accounts keeping receivables under 60 days.
Knowledge/Education/Licensing:
Knowledgeable in the areas of traditional media, social media and digital marketing for business to business and business to consumer marketing is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook are preferred. Understanding of graphic display/design, digital metrics and how they apply to the marketing process are also preferred but not required.
· High school diploma.
· A valid driver’s license
Work Environment:
This job operates as an outside sales position, which includes working in a professional office environment and driving on daily basis to businesses. This position requires the employee to work in a typical office setting, using a computer, telephone, cell phone as well as driving to potential clients, current clients and assorted businesses throughout the day. On occasions, this position required participation in after-hours events. This job requires regular travel (driving between locations).
Position Type/Work Hours Expectation
This is a full-time position. Typically, hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Schedules will vary based on operational needs.
