Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Media Production Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. NPG of California, the Central Coast's ABC, CBS and FOX affiliate stations have an immediate opening for a Media Coordinator Part-Time. Media Coordinators work behind the scenes to make sure that the broadcast day runs smoothly. Coordinators check the automation system to ensure there are no errors that would take the station off air. Coordinators also ingest and quality check the commercial files for continuity. The ideal candidate would have the ability to work as a Master Control Operator, Editor and/or Audio/Graphics Operator. We will train the right individual.
Pay range: $15.50-$16.00 an hour. Based on experience.
