Media Program Director directs and coordinates activities of broadcast and programming personnel. Responsible for scheduling programs and event coverage, coordinating with other departments, working with directors and production staff, and assessing length and content of broadcasts. The Program Director reports to the Prosecuting Attorney. Responsible for the day-to-day administration and operations of the Victim Assistance Program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Holmes County Prosecuting Attorney, the Victim Assistance Program Director will serve as the program administrator; advocate for and provide assistance to victims of crime as they navigate the criminal justice system; supervise department employees, volunteers, and activities; prepare proposals and administer grants; comply with all grant reporting requirements, create and administer program budget and financial reports; collect data and prepare reports; coordinate and collaborate with community agencies and stakeholders; develop internal and external publications such as manuals, brochures, and reports; develop and maintain forms and policies.
DIRECT SERVICES
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, criminal justice, or related field preferred
· Knowledge of criminal justice system, victims’ rights, and crisis intervention strategies
· Well-developed critical thinking/problem solving skills, highly organized, self-motivated
· Strong oral and written communication skills, and able to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
