    Job Description 

    RightNow Media is looking for a Creative Director to join our team in McKinney, TX, to lead the design team and own RightNow Media’s brand design. This role will determine and direct the creative vision for our Marketing department, manage the day-to-day of the graphic design team, and work closely with the rest of the marketing department to create engaging content that meets the expectations of our customers. The Creative Director will also play an important part in establishing the look and feel of our core products.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the Design Team
      • Manage the day-to-day assignment of projects for the entire design team, which includes Graphic Designers and Web Designers.
      • Complete regular coaching, checkpoints, and biannual reviews with direct reports.
      • Provide regular updates to Vice President, Marketing & Communications about team performance, attitude, and behavior.
      • Work with the Vice President, Marketing & Communications to determine the needs of the team and the strategic goals that align with the overall business objectives.
    • Oversee the Creative Process
      • Conduct brainstorming sessions with the Marketing and Design teams to develop innovative and actionable initiatives.
      • Review all creative project proposals and determine the feasibility of each project.
      • Lead and review the work of the creative team members, ensuring consistent, quality design across all graphics, web, print, and digital marketing collateral.
      • Project manage all creative work, determining prioritization and establishing realistic timelines.
    • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
      • Partner with the other Marketing leaders to support strategic initiatives to generate new leads and engage with our current customers.
      • Collaborate with the Video Production team on design projects to support new releases.
      • Work with the Marketing and Sales teams to identify design-related resources that support the sales process.
      • Work closely with leaders across all departments to set timelines and expectations for inter-departmental projects.
    • Define the Creative Vision
      • Act as champion and guardian of all brand standards across the organization.
      • Set and maintain the design style for all RightNow Media brands.
      • Continually raise the design bar and provide a fresh vision for the style of our brands.

    Required Experience and Education

    • BA in graphic design, advertising, art, marketing, or equivalent industry experience.
    • 7-10 years of experience in design-related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, ideally as a senior design leader or Associate Creative Director.
    • High proficiency with modern design, productivity, and workflow tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to manage constructive criticism and meet deadlines.
    • Understanding of branding, marketing, and consumer behavior.
    • Familiarity with RightNow Media video content and libraries a plus.
