    SCHEDULE

    Our electricians typically work 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday with some flexibility depending on construction site scheduling requirements. There is also the opportunity to work overtime occasionally for this position to ensure all CCTV, low-voltage cables and infrastructure, audio visual systems, and electronic access controls are handled in a timely manner!


    THE ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP THAT YOU PROVIDE

    As a skilled Low Voltage Electrical Project Manager, you're responsible for overseeing a team of electricians and ensuring the successful completion of various cabling and installation projects, including CCTV, electronic access controls, and audio visual systems. Your leadership skills shine as you provide guidance and hands-on support to your team, helping them to expertly install, terminate, and test voice and data, and video cables, as well as maintain hardware implementations and infrastructures.

    Working primarily in construction, commercial, and industrial settings, you run low voltage and fiber optic cables through conduits, walls, ceilings, and buildings, ensuring that everything is neatly managed and terminated, and the associated hardware is correctly installed. You also test and terminate existing cabling, install network devices, and make sure everything is functional and compliant with relevant codes. To ensure the job is done right, you meticulously install and test support structures like j-hooks, conduits, innerducts, and cable racks.

    With the help of a small team of technicians, you delegate tasks strategically and supervise their work, offering constructive feedback and training as needed. Throughout the project, you keep everyone focused and on track to meet your timeline, while also ensuring that all electric safety guidelines are followed and the job site remains safe and organized. You take pride in being both a capable leader and a talented technician, and you're always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the success of each project.


    THE QUALIFIED LEADER THAT OUR ELECTRICIANS NEED

    Required Experience / Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 3 years of experience as a lead low voltage (or similar) technician OR experience as a construction/job site foreman or supervisor (or equivalent)
    • Experience with some or all of the following: CCTV, low-voltage cables and infrastructure, audio visual systems, and electronic access controls (Experience with Electrical work may be considered)

    Preferred (but not required) Experience / Qualifications:

    • Knowledge about or experience with installing Computers, Point-Of-Sale systems, TVs and monitors, or media players
    • Conduit bending and installation experience
    • Previously held an AESBL certification/license
    • Previously taken Safety courses or knowledge of job site safety

    Requirements of the job:

    • Ability to wear proper PPE based on the requirements of jobsites
    • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75lbs
    • Knowledge and ability to use power tools and hand tools
    • Ability to travel between job sites, when required, via company vehicle
    • Ability to work 1 to 2 hours away from Birmingham when needed
    • Ability to stay in company-provided lodging if needed to work multiple days an hour or more away from Birmingham
    • Ability to use company-provided Macbook to meet job needs as required
    • Ability to read building/construction plans to lead the team on jobsites
