    WKBT, the Morgan Murphy Media-owned CBS affiliate in La Crosse is seeking an experienced media sales professional to become part of one of the few family-owned media companies in the country. This is an opportunity to not just be a “cog in the machine.” You’ll be an integral part of our success, recognized at the highest levels of the company!

    In addition to directing sales efforts with our diverse and skilled team of Marketing Consultants on our primary affiliation, you’ll also be leading efforts when it comes to our MyNetwork affiliation, our highly trafficked website, News8000.com, and the Phase 3 Digital Agency, offering world-class, innovative digital advertising products and marketing services.

    If you’re a leader who inspires others, seeks creative sales vehicles and projects, and has a proven track record of creating multi-media advertising solutions that lead to lasting customer relationships, we want you to lead our Sales Department!

    As you’d expect, experience with budgeting, managing inventory, recruiting, on-boarding, coaching, and meeting revenue goals are critical aspects of this position.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage and guide a sales team towards achieving station goals across all platforms.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies, monitor progress, and institute action plans.
    • Create and manage new business and non-traditional revenue campaigns.
    • Work directly with clients to develop effective advertising strategies.
    • Work with General Manager and other department managers to accomplish station objectives.
    • Understand and respect the relationship between Sales and News, and respecting the integrity of the News product.
    • Collaborate with sales management from other Morgan Murphy Media markets to meet and exceed company-wide goals.

    Experience Requirements:

    • Five years of broadcast sales management experience preferred.
    • Experience with transactional, local business development, digital and multi-platform sales.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
