Serenity Home Medical is a locally owned and operated supplier of home medical equipment and supplies. We are seeking candidates for a new position of Medical Biller to join our team oriented staff.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit as necessary
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries or discrepancies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Familiarity with healthcare billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
- Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans
