Certified Coder II
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Principle responsibility for the Certified Coder II is the review of multi-specialty surgical procedures from the electronic medical record and assigning the appropriate CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS II and modifiers based on documentation and payer requirements. The Certified Medical Coder II primary accountability is to the Coding Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Perform surgical coding and related duties in an accurate and timely manner
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Products
Hours during training are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Remote work at home opportunities available after probationary period but must reside locally (RI or MA)
