Medical Billing Clerk is responsible for reviewing, researching, coding, and generating third party billing for a medical facility. Completes and verifies ICD-10 coding. Being a Medical Billing Clerk inputs and maintains all payment records in database or systems. Performs basic customer service for routine patient or other inquiries. Additionally, Medical Billing Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Billing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Summary:
Busy multi-specialty medical group is seeking motivated, hard working, goal oriented, highly accurate medical billers to join our Corporate Office billing team. This is an onsite position.
A minimum of 2 years recent medical billing, claims submission, and A/R experience in the areas of Family Practice and Internal Medicine is required. Your resume will not be considered unless you meet this criteria.
The Medical Biller is responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle process. This position promotes the revenue integrity and reimbursement for the organization by ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections of accounts. A strong background in medical billing and A/R follow-up is required. Experience billing Inpatient Hospital and Nursing Home charges is highly desirable.
