Duties
- Review and verify medical billing information for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to ensure timely reimbursement
- Resolve billing discrepancies and answer inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Stay updated on insurance regulations, coding changes, and billing procedures

Skills
- Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and insurance guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
