Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding systems.

Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
- Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up
- Research and appeal denied claims

Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical collection, coding, and billing systems
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and medical terminology
- Experience working in a medical office setting
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
