CARE Medical Transportation is seeking an Experienced Billing Specialist for our Follow-Up Team. Must be motivated, enthusiastic, & career-minded to fill our Team Player positions. The ideal candidates should be good with people, able to maintain relationships, enjoy making a difference, and have the "think out of the box" attitude.

Billing experience a plus.

Full-Time Position available

Hours: Monday - Friday: 6:30am-3:00pm

The Responsibilities of the Follow- Up Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Verifying insurance benefits & obtaining authorizations
• Submitting claims to insurance companies
• Claim follow-ups, investigating rejected claims & initiating insurance appeals
• Preparing and reviewing patient statements
• Managing Aging of receivables
• Ensuring proper deadlines are met with our clients
• Prepare and submit reports to senior management
• Collections on Patient Accounts
• Data Entry and Payment Posting

Professional & Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year medical billing experience
• Knowledge of Medicare Regulations & appeal process
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately and with minimum supervision
• Computer literate (Outlook, Word, Internet, etc.)
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
• Follows all policies and procedures as outlined by the company and/or governmental regulations and according to HIPAA regulations
• CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding protocols
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
